A Rocky Mountain Christmas

Aurora Community Theatre, in cooperation with the City of Aurora, will present the annual Holiday Show & Tree Lighting ceremony at 4 pm Dec. 3, a free event as the theatre’s gift to the community.

Festivities will begin inside the theatre at 115 E. Pioneer Trail, with showcase performances by Aurora School of Music, the Aurora High School’s “Unaccompanied Minors,” and the Aurora Conservatory of Dance.

Then, an original musical review, A Rocky Mountain Christmas, directed by Theresa Benyo-Marzullo with musical direction by D. Keith Stiver, will take the stage featuring classic Christmas favorites plus a special Christmas song written by Jim Marzullo.

Joining voices for A Rocky Mountain Christmas will be adults, children and youth including: Brenda Willis, Liz Fuller, Karen Haus, Jerry Schaber, Bernie Keister, George Roemich, Jim Marzullo, Ryan Kacmar, Mason Kacmar, Gina Marzullo and Rachel Marzullo.

Ann Nyenhuis will serve as stage manger, while Craig Kollai manages the lighting and Maggie Hamilton, the sound.

Following the performances, the audience will move just outside to the Bicentennial Gazebo where the city’s tree will be lit while Aurora Girl Scouts and Aurora School of Music, perform carols.

Then, SANTA CLAUS will lead children, family and friends back to the theatre building for refreshments.
